How to install a Mitey Max
Mitey Max's for the Excalibur and Viking are very easy to install. Although a tool kit is not required it makes it easier. The first thing is to turn off or remove the air from the gun. After you do this the next step is to remove the Valve Spring Stem holder. If you have a tool kit it's very easily done.

If not a pair of sharp nose needle nose pliars will work.

And last but not least are 2 small allen wrenches. Cross them up and use one to push against the other to turn the cap.

Turn the cap anti-clockwise until it is clear of the body. Once the threads are clear pull the spring holder, spring and cup seal/valve stem out. Sometimes the valve stem will not come out. This is okay. You will need to make sure the spring goes back over the stem when it's reinstalled. Typically you should have this sitting on the workbench.

Carefully remove the old spring holder and put the new one onto the spring.

Depending on the year, the Mitey Max may be attached to the new spring holder.

The next step is to put the stem components back into the gun.

Make sure the valve stem goes all the way into the valve or if you didn't pull the valve stem out that the spring goes over the end of the valve stem. Make sure to put some oil onto the o-ring to help it seat and seal properly.

Now using a 5/32" allen wrench carefully screw the Mitey Max into the gun body.

Tighten the Mitey Max down firmly but not too much. It should be snug into the body. There may be a very small gap between the Mitey Max and the gun body. This is normal.

The finished product will look something like this.

This is a Viking. The Mitey Max goes on the other side on an Excalibur. The laser etching may not line up like in the picture. Due to indexing differences the starting of the threads is different between each gun body.
